More than a space mission, ShakthiSAT is a symbol of unity, intellectual strength, and opportunity, giving young women the tools to shape the future of science and innovation.

Over the past seven years, the organization has achieved remarkable milestones:

  • 19+ Near Space Launch Vehicles (BalloonSats)
  • 3 Suborbital Payloads
  • 5 Orbital Satellites
  • Creator of the world’s smallest and lightest satellite – Kalamsat

What sets Space Kidz India apart is its mission to actively involve students from high school to university in real-world space missions, making it the first organization globally to do so at this scale.

The ShakthiSAT Mission

ShakthiSAT is designed as a transformational STEM education journey, offering:

  • 120+ hours of world-class training
  •   Foundational learning in:
    * Physics
    * Mathematics
    * Ham Radio
    * Coding
    * PCB Designing

Following this, students will collaborate in teams to:

  • Design and develop payloads
  •   Integrate their work into a spacecraft
  • Participate in a real launch to the Moon’s orbit

At its core, the mission aims to unite the world through education, reinforcing values of peace, collaboration, and intellectual empowerment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Select 108 girls from across Sri Lanka
  • Ensure equal district representation, prioritizing girls from underserved communities
  • Mentor and guide participants throughout the program
  • Oversee their academic and technical journey

At the end of the program:

  • One student will be selected to travel to India
  • She will work alongside global teams to build and integrate the payload
  • The final launch is scheduled for Q2–Q3 2026
